Taking inspiration from his native Finland’s landscape, design pioneer Alvar Aalto combined simple design with a craftsman’s expertise to create iconic home design pieces that are functional and sculptural. Each crystal bowl is first mouth-blown, then hand cut before going through several polishings at the Iittala Glass Factory.
