The surface patterns on these pieces draw inspiration from the main living room at Fallingwater—reflections of the way the three high shelves float atop the fireplace and abut the Craftsman lines of the adjacent window. In homage to Frank Lloyd Wright's use of Japanese architectural details, these pieces' forms are derived from traditional Japanese tea bowls, or chawan.
